Since 2004, Anton has been active in all areas of pension law. He represents employers, works councils, pension providers, retirees’ associations, and interest groups in complex matters. He advises and litigates on issues such as indexation, amendments to pension schemes, the legal implications of pension fund liquidations, the lawfulness of benefit cuts, and whether an employer is subject to a mandatory industry-wide pension fund. Anton has also served as an expert on pension law during a hearing of the Dutch House of Representatives.
Anton regularly publishes on pension law topics and is a frequent speaker at conferences and lecturer in the field.
Anton studied Dutch Law at Leiden University. He has been a lawyer since 1984 and joined SteensmaEven on May 1, 2009. Prior to that, he was a partner at the Hague-based law firm Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn, where he practiced in various areas of law. He has also held several management positions at Nationale-Nederlanden.
