Anton has been active in all areas of pension law since 2004. He acts for employers, works councils, pension administrators, pensioners associations and advocates in complex cases. He advises and litigates on matters such as indexation issues, changes to pension schemes, the legal consequences of winding up pension funds, whether or not discounts are lawful and whether an employer falls under a mandatory industry-wide pension fund or not. Anton was called upon as an expert in the field of pension law during a hearing of the House of Representatives.
Anton regularly publishes on pension law issues. He is also a regular speaker at symposia and teaches. Anton studied Dutch Law at the University of Leiden. He has been a lawyer since 1984 and has been working at SteensmaEven since 1 May 2009. Until May 2009 he worked as a partner at the law firm Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn in The Hague. Anton was active there in many different areas of law. He has also worked in various management positions at Nationale-Nederlanden for some time.
