Nikki has been working as a labor law attorney at SteensmaEven since 2015. She serves as a trusted sparring partner for various HR and legal professionals. She is involved in (complex) issues such as incapacity for work, dismissals, and employment conditions. Nikki not only provides solution-oriented advice but is also regularly involved at the drafting stage—for example, when drafting a collective labor agreement, employment conditions, or an employment contract. She is proactive, approachable, and pragmatic, but litigates when necessary. She closely monitors developments in labor law and regularly writes legal advice and (SE) papers.

Before her career at SteensmaEven, Nikki was a lecturer at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She completed her Dutch Law studies there, earning master’s degrees in Private Law and Labor Law. In 2021, Nikki successfully completed the Postgraduate Program in Labor Law (“PALA”). She also enjoys providing in-house training on a wide range of labor law topics.

Nikki Bakker is registered in the Dutch Bar Association’s register with labor law as her area of practice.

Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training points each calendar year, in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association, for each registered main area of law.
