In 2025, Verona started working as a legal assistant at SteensmaEven, where she handles all aspects of employment law. Besides her work for SteensmaEven, Verona is part of the editorial team of AR-Updates.

Verona completed a Master’s degree in Employment Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam. During and after her studies, Verona worked at the labor law section at the same university. In that position, she worked on the journals ‘Jurisprudentie in Nederland’ (JIN) and European Employment Law Cases (EELC).
