Alexander Steensma (qualified in 1988)  
Alexander particularly works for Dutch companies with foreign shareholders. In his practice, he has gained experience in collective employment law with an emphasis on restructurings and the employment aspects of corporate transactions. He frequently works on cases involving reputational risk. Alexander regularly speaks on seminars and at universities. He was a partner at an international law firm for more than 10 years.
 
Cathérine Jakimowicz (qualified in 2000)
Catherine specialises in privacy law as well as employment law. She has gained much of her experience in the Financial sector. She assisted among other things in drafting the Code of Conduct for the Processing of Personal Data by Financial Institutions. She managed large international projects in the field of privacy (including the drafting of Binding Corporate Rules) and was responsible for the privacy law practice group of an international law firm. Catherine worked for a period of 6 months in a London based law firm and was seconded to ABN AMRO Bank for a period of 4 years in order to assist in privacy, risk and compliance related projects. Catherine is co-founder and secretary of the committee of the association of privacy law. She frequently publishes and lectures on employment and privacy related topics. Catherine is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association.

Zef Even (qualified in 1998)
Zef has experience on all important areas of employment law, with a focus on collective employment law and on private international law. He has extensive knowledge on reorganisations, corporate governance and transfer of undertakings. Zef is editor of a leading employment law journal, earned a PhD on transnational collective labour agreements and is affiliated with the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Zef worked at an international law firm for many years.
 
 
Anton van Leeuwen (qualified in 1984)
Anton is involved in all-important areas of pension law. He counts employers, pension funds, insurers and unions of pensioners as his clients. He advises and litigates about, for instance indexation, disputes between pension funds and insurers, value transfers, the consequences of the application of the IFRS accountancy rules and pension agreements. Anton was heard as an expert witness in the Parliament. Anton has elaborate experience in the field of labour migration. Until he joined SteensmaEven he was partner at a large national law firm.

Barbara Filippo (qualified in 2010)
Barbara studied Dutch Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. In 2009 she graduated both in Civil Law and in Corporate Law. Prior to joining SteensmaEven, she was an academic lecturer at Erasmus University, teaching employment law. After an internship, Barbara joined our office as a lawyer in May 2010. Barbara is involved in all major aspects of employment law, with a focus on dismissals. In addition to her work at SteensmaEven, she still teaches employment law at the Erasmus University on a part-time basis.

Nikki Bakker(qualified in 2015)
Nikki studied Dutch Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. In 2014 she graduated both in Civil Law and in Employment Law. Prior to joining SteensmaEven, she was an academic lecturer at Erasmus University. Nikki joined our office as a lawyer in Januari 2015.
